Dogs, Dogs, and More Dogs!Almost hard to believe, but Atlanta Boxer Rescue is beginning our sixth month of operation! And we want to kick off this month by welcoming four new additions. Apollo is our 2-year-old hunk of love. We rescued him from a very overcrowded animal control on his last day. He is the second Boxer to come in to the Rescue with a tail, but don't tell him he's any different, as he has the Boxer wiggle and kisses down pat! He's one grateful dog that he was taken in to rescue and he is looking for someone to share the rest of his days with. Macy Gray is our 8-month-old white puppy who in her short life has been passed around as no one wanted her. We do not know why, because she is a total love bug who just wants someone to love her. She is having a fabulous time in her new foster home with her Boxer brother and is turning in to one happy Boxer! Pixel is our little bitty baby. After a local police department discovered her chained outside in a yard, she came to us a mere 32 lbs of skin and bones and patches of missing fur. With a little love and care from her Foster mom, Pixel is quickly filling out, and her fawn coat is full and beautiful. Pixel is happily learning to walk on a leash, sit, come, and more. She's going to the perfect Boxer addition to her forever home. Rescue like this would not even be remotely possible without the countless hours from our devoted volunteers. We are SO thankful for our wonderful fosters who have opened their homes and hearts to these dogs...we can only take in as many homes as we have available. Please, if you are thinking about becoming a foster, sign up on our website. The most heartbreaking thing is to walk away from a dog in need because we have no homes to put them in. It's Official! On behalf of the entire Atlanta Boxer Rescue organization, we are proud to announce that Atlanta Boxer Rescue has received approval from the Internal Revenue Service to be classified as a public charity under provision 501(c)(3) of the Federal tax laws. We know that the financial world is challenged these days. This challenge is especially difficult for non-profit organizations such as ours, as fund raising efforts become harder and harder. Before the year - and the chance to include your donations in your 2008 taxes - comes to an end, would you please consider an additional tax-deductible donation to Atlanta Boxer Rescue? Any amount you contribute would be beneficial in supporting our efforts to rescue Boxers and provide them with the love and care they deserve. Donations can be made via our website, www.atlantaboxerrescue.org. As always, thanks for your interest in Atlanta Boxer Rescue.Feel free to pass along this newsletter to all your friends and if this is a complimentary issue for you, you can sign up here to get one delivered straight to your mailbox!
